Established in 2021 by Rock Hill Poet Laureate Angelo Geter, artists, educators, and poets, the One Word Poetry Festival elevates and enhances poetry in the Rock Hill community. This four-day festival seeks to expose the community to the power of poetry and celebrates the countless ways that it impacts our lives. It engages participants of all ages in a variety of activities that highlight the various mediums of poetry. Activities include workshops, performances, readings, live music, competitions, and a keynote reading taking place in numerous locations in downtown Rock Hill. This Small Grant supports the promotional and advertising efforts of the 2023 One Word Poetry Festival.
