YORK COUNTY QUILT TRAIL

A part of the Upstate Heritage Quilt Trail and South Carolina Quilt Trail.

South Carolina offers a rich tapestry of life, often expressed through the artistry and craftsmanship of quiltmaking. York County, SC joined the South Carolina Quilt Trails in 2012 with the installation of two quilt blocks, one at Windy Hill Orchard & Cidery and another at the Center for the Arts.

 

Many of the barn quilts are on-site along the Ag + Art Tour of York County. The Arts Council of York County adds quilt blocks to farms participating the Ag + Art Tour of York County annually.

Many of the sites listed on the York County Heritage Quilt Trail are also a part of the South Carolina Ag + Art Tour, a free, self-guided tour of farms and artisans. 

 

The quilt blocks commissioned by the Arts Council of York County were partially funded by grants from Blue Cross Blue Shield and from York Electric Cooperative.
