Located in the historic Downtown Rock Hill Cultural District, the Center for the Arts is housed in two restored 121-year old buildings.

 

Offices of the Arts Council of York County, the Dalton, Perimeter, and Edmund D. Lewandowski Classroom Galleries, and private artist studios are located in the Center for the Arts. The Dalton Gallery features 7 - 9 exhibitions each year by local, regional, national, and international artists.

 

The Center for the Arts offers space for workshops, receptions, meetings, and small performances.

The Tom S. Gettys Center, managed by the Arts Council of York County, is located in the Downtown Rock Hill Cultural District. It is a true arts destination for York county as it is home to offices of the Arts Council of York County, the Rock Hill Pottery Center, Art on Main, Friday Arts Project, Hill City Church, Don't Sweat it INC, and artist studios.

 

Concerts are often held in the renovated historic courtroom on the second floor at the Tom S. Gettys Center. It’s the perfect place to host receptions, meetings, or other special occasions.

EVENT RENTALS

The Arts Council of York County is housed within two facilities - the Center for the Arts and the historic Tom S. Gettys Center. Each venue is available to rent for weddings, rehearsal dinners, reunions, performances, parties, business functions, and other gatherings. Each space is unique in feel. You'll find art galleries, the marble lobby of the 1931 post office, and a courtroom restored to its original grandeur - complete with the judge's bench, dark woodwork and tin ceiling. One of our facilities is sure to fit your needs perfectly.

ARTIST STUDIOS

The Arts Council offers private artist studios in both the Center for the Arts and the Tom S. Gettys Center in Old Town Rock Hill, SC. Rates are below market value and vary depending on square footage, access, and amenities​.
