ABOUT FIELD TRIPS & GUIDED TOURS
The Arts Council of York County offers Field Trips and Guided Tours for groups of all ages and abilities!
On our guided tours, participants will:

Learn about the purpose of the Arts Council

Explore our rotating exhibitions
-
Interact with our Studio Artists to expand their understanding of the creative process.
Each field trip includes a tour of the galleries. It can also include a guided tour as well as a hands-on art making experience in the Lewandowski Classroom Gallery. Visits including both guided tours and a workshop typically last approximately two hours.
*Please note that our capacity is 30 students per visit. One chaperone per every ten students is required.

Lunch Area | The Arts Council of York County does not have a designated indoor area for groups to eat lunch
Weather permitting, there is a small patio behind the Center for the Arts that's suitable for picnic-style lunches.
Workshop Tours include a small snack and drink.

Self-Guided Tour

Self-Guided Tours allow groups to explore the galleries on their own.
Reservations are not required.
Self-Guided Tours are limited to 12 children and must have 1 - 2 chaperones present.

Guided Tour
Center for the Arts
This tour provides your trip with a tour guide or staff member who is focused on creating inclusive, collaborative discussions and providing participants the opportunity to engage with our exhibitions.
Guided Tours must be scheduled at least 4-weeks in advance.
A knowledgeable guide will lead an engaging tour, offering insights and lively discussions about the current exhibition.
Guided Tours are limited to 30 students, and there must be 2 - 3 chaperones present.

Workshop Tour
Center for the Arts
Workshop Tours begin with a Guided Tour of the galleries. Following the Guided Tour, participants have the opportunity to form deeper connections with what they learned through a hands-on art activity that explores cross curricular projects and diverse media with professional artists.
Workshop Tours must be scheduled at least 4-weeks in advance.
Workshop Tours are available for groups of 7 or more students, and are limited to 25 - 30 students. There must be at least three chaperones present.
FEES | $5 per child and $10 per adult beyond the 1:10 chaperone ratio.
