Adult Enrichment Centers envisions a world where individuals of all abilities thrive in diverse communities that are built to foster their independence while honoring their unique preferences and vibrant histories. Growing Together: The Art of Communication Without Limitations is a collaborative project that brings together these diverse populations to share, through mural painting and community involvement, a different way of interacting and understanding members of the intellectual and developmental disability population who struggle with mental health. Members of the community will paint a multi-paneled mural at events held across York County throughout the spring. When complete, the panels will be displayed at temporary installation sites across the county before their permanent installation at Adult Enrichment Center’s High 5 School of the Arts. The Small Grant will be used for administrative and artistic fees as well as for supplies.
