I consider myself a textile designer. From a young age I was drawn to the visual, tactile and colorful world of textiles. With a degree in designI have worked in graphic, interior and textiles. I currently create abstract silk paintings. The way colors interact on silk, the play of light and the movement of the silk tell a story. Through layers of resist and dyes I express my reaction to the world around me.
