My work is primarily figurative, women I call my "spirit sisters," and for years I painted from models, but now they're all from my imagination. I sometimes turn an old painting upside down and attack it with new gusto and end up with a figure, a landscape or abstract, with obscure hints of the original work, a series called "Personal History Box."

I switch gears from time to time - canvas to 7 foot wood panels, bookbinding, monotypes, collage and even a little poetry - but always return to my spirit sisters. Alone in the studio. Always with music ranging from Bach to Brubeck.
