Caroline Rust holds a BFA and MFA in painting. Her works of art are procured by private and corporate collectors and featured in juried group and one-person exhibitions annually. Rust has accomplishments as a teacher of art and design at the college level and she has received various grants, awards, and accolades for her work.

Series in her portfolio of the last 5 years depict iterations of an experimentation with garments and painting. Textiles are used metaphorically to contemplate the human condition, reveal qualities of femininity, and explore identity. Emerging is a visual dialogue evoking human presence and the past.
