The (piano) music is going quiet at the Community Performance Center. The Arts Council’s 100-year old Chickering and Sons piano has lost its high and low registers, and unfortunately, the cost to repair our current instrument far exceeds its value. Our upcoming season promises a wide variety of entertainment offerings, some requiring a concert piano, and our tenants, Remedy Church and the Rock Hill Community Theatre often use the piano during their events.
Our ideal piano is a black, 5’ – 6’ Baby Grand Concert Piano that is less than 25 years old, and has been stored in a controlled environment. Our preferred brands are Baldwin, Kawai, Kimball, Pramberger, Steinway, or Yamaha. Do you have a piano that matches our needs that you’d like to donate? We’d like to hear from you!
