Arts in Education

For 30 years, the Arts Council of York County has created a multi-tiered program to enhance the arts education of York County students that includes artist residencies, student art exhibitions, teacher workshops and educational theater and music performances.

Let your child be a sculptor or a painter for a week at the Arts Council’s 2017 Summer Art Camps! June 12 - July 14, 2017

 

Price for all camps:
$85/camp for Arts Council members
$95/camp for general public

The Arts Council's Summer Art Camps run June through July and feature one-week, half-day workshops of various topics for ages six and above. The camps are held at the Center for the Arts,121 E. Main St. and at the Gettys Art Center Courtroom, 201 E. Main St, Rock Hill, SC.

ARTISTS IN RESIDENCE

The Arts Council of York County provides $250 to bring an artist into a school in York County to teach for a short period of time.

 

If you would like to have an artist in residence at your school, contact the Arts Council at 803-328-2787. Local, regional and national visual and performing artists who are currently on the S.C. Approved Artist Roster are eligible to conduct residencies with support of the Arts Council

The Arts Council of York County is headquartered in Old Town Rock Hill. Downtown Rock Hill is a state-recognized Cultural District in South Carolina.
