AG + ART TOUR
OF YORK COUNTY
ABOUT THE TOUR
The South Carolina Ag + Art Tour is a free, self-guided tour of farms and farmers markets in select South Carolina counties featuring local artisans at every stop! During this tour visitors have the opportunity to see first hand where their food comes from, watch artists in action and purchase their works, and learn more about South Carolina’s rich agricultural and artistic heritage.
The Tour is managed by Will Culler of Clemson University Extension. Each participating county has a designated Chair(s) and Vice-Chairperson(s) that lead their respective County Planning Teams. County Planning Teams are responsible for coordinating the tour within their respective counties.
ROLE OF THE COUNTY PLANNING TEAM
The County Planning Team is the engine of the Ag + Art Tour. This team implements the tour in their county using the roadmap developed by Ag + Art Tour Administration. All positions on the Ag + Art Tour county planning teams are volunteer positions.
FUNDRAISING COORDINATOR RESPONSIBILITIES
The fundraising coordinator/committee’s purpose is to secure funding for your county to
participate in the tour. Ag + Art Tour Administration sets a per-county participation cost
to participate in the tour.
Serve on County Planning Team
Secure funding for the annual Ag + Art Tour. This funding should cover the county participation and marketing costs.
Costs cannot be passed on to participating farms (e.g. A Farm Site Fee). To avoid duplication all money must be raised within your county. If you have contacts outside your county who might be willing to donate you must get approval from SC Ag + Art Tour Administration. All
donations and sponsorships are tax deductible through the Clemson University
