I try to paint what I see. My compositions build on map and landscape shapes; from geographic formations, to the built environment and political boundaries. Lately, like everyone, I’ve been getting used to a tighter, more restricted orbit, while longing to get out into the wider world. I’m taking more notice of little things on my limited daily travels: buildings, highway signs and shapes sketched by road repair - avatars of travel.
