Charlotte Symphony Orchestra performs Mill Village

The Charlotte Symphony Orchestra presents David Crowe’s original work, "Mill Village," written to honor the men, women, and children who worked in the mills, and acknowledges the profound influence the textile industry has had on the community.

Marc Hoffman Quartet (jazz music)

Slide into Sunday afternoon with a blend of inventive, bold, and eclectic jazz. With a flair for the melodic masters, the Marc Hoffman Quartet takes you on a journey through the infectious sounds of the 50s, 60s, and 70s.

Dr. Matthew Manwarren performs a romantic classics and other pieces based on show tunes, such as Earl Wild's Etude on Gershwin's "Embraceable You" on the Arts Council’s Steinway piano, while Jeffrey Price sings popular standards from American Musical Theatre, such as "It's a Grand Night for Singing," "Getting to Know You," "The Impossible Dream," "I Can See It," "Getting to Know You," and "Moon River" during this afternoon concert.

ArtsPower’s enchanting musical, based on E.L. Konigsburg’s Newbery Medal-winning classic, follows Claudia Kincaid and her brother Jamie up the stone steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art and right into the middle of an adventure that’s sure to captivate audiences of all ages!
