Have your photo taken by Mike Baker of MBaker Photographic with the Fire & Ice sculpture created especially for the gala by Artisan Ice Sculptures of Charlotte. Catch your breath while enjoying signature Fire & Ice drinks from the open bar and relax with a bite to eat. Follow the dulcet tones of Eric Brown on saxophone to the Gem Mine where guests may bid on original art by Caroline Rust Ward, Jim Camann, Katherine Petke, Liz Lee, Harriet Goode, Alf Ward, Cynthia Howard, The Cordial Churchman, and many others in the silent auction. An original, 6-foot tall, brushed stainless steel palmetto tree by renowned South Carolina artist, Bob Doster will be raffled off at the end of the night.

This is the Arts Council's signature fundraising event, with proceeds benefiting the Arts Council of York County's arts in education and community engagement programs, the ACYC On Tour Performing Arts Series, Blues & Jazz Festival, Underexposed Film Festival yc, exhibits in the galleries at the Center for the Arts, and events across the county.

Support the arts in York County by purchasing your raffle tickets for the chance to win a signed, original, 6-foot-tall, brushed stainless steel Palmetto Tree sculpture by renowned South Carolina artist, Bob Doster.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
For more than fifty years, Bob Doster has created art that ranges from whimsical collectibles to monumental public works of art. As a teaching artist, he has worked with more than 150,000 students of all ages. Doster has received numerous awards and accolades including the Elizabeth Verner O’Neill Award, the South Carolina Hero of the Child, the Marian Hagins Competition Award, the York County Cultural & Heritage Commission’s “Keeper of the Culture," and his studio, Backstreet Studio has been named the Lancaster County Chamber of Commerce Small Business of the Year.
Doster’s public works may be seen across North and South Carolina including works at the Culture Heritage Museums in York County, on Main Street in Fort Mill, in Greenville on Main Street, at the Hyatt Regent Lobby, and in Julie Valentine Memorial Park, and at Founders Federal Credit Unions in Spartanburg, Chester, Lancaster, and Charlotte.
The winning raffle ticket will be drawn on Saturday, February 20, 2016. The winner will be notified on Monday, February 22, 2016.
