Grants


The Arts Council offers a variety of small and major grants designed to provide support to small or pilot arts activities, to new developing programs or organizations, or to special projects of high artistic quality that develop during the year.

The Arts Council of Rock Hill and York County is a sub-granting site for the South Carolina Arts Commission. York County artists, schools and non-profit organizations are encouraged to apply for quarterly small grants to support projects of high artistic quality.

Regional Artist Project Grants

The Regional Artist Project Grant Program provides an award for individuals and groups of unincorporated artists to pursue projects that further enhance their artistic development.

Applicants may be either emerging or established artists, but in either case must have a record of artistic achievement appropriate to the stage of their career.

An emerging artist is defined as an individual who has fewer than ten years of experience and is in the early stages of their career or is changing disciplines. An established artist is defined as an individual who has more than ten years of experience and is at a mature stage of their career, with an extensive body of work and a history of public exhibition, etc.
